Elément décoratif en forme de vague Who Are We?

Since 1954, Delka has been crafting sauces with character. What began as a small family business in the heart of Wallonia has grown, over the decades, into a leading player in sauce manufacturing for the Belgian and international markets — without ever compromising on what defines us: natural ingredients, the expertise of skilled sauce chefs, and an unwavering commitment to taste.

Today, with hundreds of recipes inspired by flavours from around the world, Delka accompanies every plate, across all sectors of activity.

Elément décoratif en forme de vague Our Vision

To be the leading sauce partner in Europe for retailers, distributors, manufacturers and caterers who demand quality, innovation and reliability. At Delka, we don’t just make sauces. We build lasting partnerships, offering every client a tailor-made solution: from recipe co-creation to final packaging, including R&D support, certifications and logistics. Our ambition is to be the single point of contact that helps you stand out in your market, without compromising on taste or values.

Elément décoratif en forme de vague Our Mission

Since 1954, our mission has stayed true to its spirit, even as it has grown richer over time: to create sauces that make a difference — for the consumer who tastes them, for the client who sells them, and for the planet that allows us to make them.

In practice, this translates into four commitments we uphold every day:

Authenticity & quality of ingredients — Our recipes are made from natural ingredients, with no preservatives, no artificial colouring, no palm oil and no GMOs. A Nutritional Charter, established with nutritionists, guides every new development and every reformulation.

Continuous innovation — Our R&D team constantly designs new recipes, adapted to market trends and to our clients’ specific needs: vegan sauces, lactose-free, reduced-salt, or exclusive recipes co-created as part of our Private Label offering, recognised at European level through our membership of the PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association).

Flexibility & service — We meet the requirements of every market, whether retail, foodservice, export, or the Halal and Kosher sectors. Our IFS Food, FDA, Halal and Kosher certifications, combined with our production capacity of 7,500 tonnes per year, allow us to be a responsive and reliable partner, throughout Europe and beyond.

Sustainability & responsibility — Producing well also means producing responsibly. Our environmental and social commitments — solar panels, reduced plastic packaging, a zero-waste policy, and our Sustainable Entrepreneurship SDG Pioneer certification — are an integral part of our mission, not just words.

Our History Elément décoratif en forme de vague

2026

Delka is strengthening its market position by developing a new generation of sauces inspired by Asian flavours, supporting its partners in creating exclusive private-label concepts and sharing its market vision in Trends-Tendances. A year marked by innovation, expertise and value creation for brands and consumers.

2025

Sustainable entrepreneurship

Delka is committed to embedding the company’s growth in a sustainable entrepreneurship programme with the Chamber of Commerce.

This journey begins with more than 10 initiatives undertaken each year across various SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

2024

Production expansion

Production is growing, and a new extension is needed to support this growth.

2023

Electricity consumption

Delka can offset 70% of its electricity consumption thanks to the installation of 596 south-facing photovoltaic panels tilted at 15°.

2023

Ranges and Kosher certification

We continue to develop our product ranges and markets, with the introduction of new packaging that allows us to bottle dressings in a suitable container, as well as a new brand called “Caleb”, aimed at the Kosher market and backed by Orthodox Union certification.

2022

Replacing glass

A strategic decision was made in 2022 to remove glass packaging from our product range.

This allows us to further reduce our carbon footprint and ensure better quality performance in production.

In the industrial world, glass consumes 173% more water than plastic, causes 307% more pollution and has a 188% greater impact on the climate.

PET plastic, on the other hand, has the advantage of being recyclable.

2020

CO2 reduction

Removing the plastic shrink sleeve, which provided 360° branding around the bottle, also eliminated the need for the boiler used to shrink the plastic.

This allows us to reduce our CO2 emissions by 44.9%.

2017

Nominations

A few years later, Delka was nominated for three consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019) as a fast-growing company for the Trends Gazelle award in the Province of Liège, in the medium-sized enterprise category.

2012

New range

The retail sector is growing, and we continue to adapt to this promising market.

New “Shelf-Ready Packaging” boxes are developed.

At the same time, to diversify our activities, the creation of the “Fayza” Halal range targets another market and is supported by recognised industry certifications.

2011

Relocation and expansion

The company moves to Petit-Rechain, Belgium.

We need more space and invest in a new machine capable of producing 300 kg batches.

This new machine enables us to meet new demand from the retail sector, which we are entering. To serve this market, we introduce suitable packaging and install a new production line adapted to top-down polypropylene plastic bottles known as squeezes, which are sold in this sector.

During the same year, we quickly add a storage hall.

2010

Joining Floridienne

Floridienne is a diversified holding company active in niche markets built around three areas of expertise – Chemicals, Gourmet Food and Life Sciences – where we stand out through creativity and innovation.

We position ourselves as the preferred partner of multinational companies in sectors that are too small or somewhat “out of the box” for them to invest in directly, but where they seek credible, solid business partners. Our stock-market listing therefore provides genuine added value.

Unlike financial holding companies, we are the majority owner of almost all our investments and take a long-term view of them.

We therefore take responsibility for managing our subsidiaries, sharing this responsibility in a decentralised manner with motivated local teams working under the supervision of our Division Managing Directors.

At holding-company level, alongside strategic guidance, we provide our subsidiaries with expertise in finance, law and external growth, and seek optimal financing for them.

We firmly believe that the main drivers of long-term growth are investments in products that deliver real added value to society and the environment, which is why we focus our investments on these sectors.

Prepared meals are no longer part of our production.

1980

110 kg mixer

Very soon afterwards, a second mixer is needed, with a larger production capacity.

We now have four people in production and two drivers who continue to serve the HoReCa market in Belgium.

It is time to produce larger quantities, and Edgard, our workshop manager, discovers a new working pace with the 60 kg mixer.
